ASSISTANT BANQUET MANAGER


The DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh GreenTree is currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual for the position of Assistant Banquet Manager. The Assistant Banquet Manager position will oversee all operations of the Front Office, while partnering effectively with other departments to ensure the highest degree of customer satisfaction is achieved, as specified by the Hotel's Brand Standards. The Assistant Banquet Manager provides supervisory guidance, reinforces training, and initiates disciplinary action when needed. This leader makes suggestions and recommendation for all matters pertaining to associates such as hiring, performance, change of employment status, etc.

  • Oversees Banquet personnel and directs and assists the Banquet staff in room set up and breakdown for all banquet activities including In-House functions. Ensures that all equipment is set up correctly and inspects room for accuracy, cleanliness, attractiveness and proper layout.
  •  Maintains a high level of service quality and insures 100% customer satisfaction. Ensures complete guest satisfaction as it relates to the following:
  • all functions beginning on time;
  • introduces self to the guests or at least the contact person for every function;
  • communicating with guests to follow through with special requests, instructions, or complaints;
  •  Assists with the training and onboarding of all Banquet associates; 
  • Directs and controls all activity in the banquet depart during shift.
  • Ensures all meeting rooms are clean, organized and set up for events according to BEO(s) as needed.
  • Participates in the hotel’s Manager-on-Duty program as directed by the General Manager.
