Food and Beverage Manager

The Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South is looking for a Food and Beverage Manager to help our team provide excellent service to our guests.  This is a wonderful opportunity to lead the front of house F&B team at a full-service hotel in the South Hills.

The Food and Beverage Manager will lead the management and direction of the restaurant and banquet operations in accordance with established guest service and Crowne Plaza Brand standards.

Who we are:

The Crowne Plaza is the South Hills’ only Full-Service hotel, featuring multiple ballrooms and meeting rooms, along with a restaurant. The hotel is managed by Prospera Hospitality, a proud to be Pittsburgh based hotel management company with over 20 years of experience managing hotels, restaurants, and convention centers.

What you'll do:

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates, ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with Crowne Plaza and IHG core values.
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food in outlet and banquet facilities.
• Ensure that the food service complies with sanitation and safety standards for guests and associates.
• Resolve guest complaints and coordinate with other department leaders to resolve service delivery or quality breakdowns.
• Work closely with Sales Manager and Clients to schedule menus, times and facilitate Banquet events.
• Abide by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Oversee serving staff to ensure proper liquor controls are in place and all cash handling policies and procedures are followed. Comply with all accounting policies.
• Participate in marketing efforts of restaurants and banquets, create menu ideas, survey competition and report food trends, and assist in preparation of specials.

The work schedule will vary from week to week and may include working on holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.

What you'll receive:

• This position will start in the $60,000-$65,000 pay range

• Associate's degree preferred.
• 3-6 years restaurant experience preferred.
• RAMP Certification required.
• Food Handlers Certification required.
