The Monroeville Convention Center is looking for a General Manager to lead the center into the next bright phase of its history.

After recent newsworthy events, the Monroeville Convention Center has bounced back stronger than ever. Nearly every future booking has committed to return. Our new General Manager will build on that base and help the MCC succeed both financially and operationally.


The General Manager will:

  • Lead MCC sales efforts to maintain current client base and grow future business, maximizing both revenue and Center usage.
  • Supervise the Operations team, making sure shows and conventions are set to client needs.
  • Maximize Food and Beverage revenue through efficient concession sales and by offering F&B options to clients.
  • Manage vendor relationships, allowing the MCC to be flexible in meeting client needs.
  • Maintain positive relationship with Visit Monroeville, working with them to promote the MCC and the Monroeville area.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability – Work patiently with clients through changes in needs and wants.
  • Schedule Flexibility – Most shows and events are on weekends, requiring GM presence to be successful.
  • Ability to develop relationships – Repeat business makes the MCC successful. Navigating that and the relationship with Visit Monroeville is a requirement for success.
  • Previous leadership experience in the Hospitality industry is a requirement.
  • Previous experience in a convention/conference/trade show environment is a preference.
  • Hospitality Sales experience is a plus.
