Job Summary

The Kitchen 1 Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards. This role ensures that food is prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently to provide guests with an excellent dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to standard recipes and portion sizes
     
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including equipment and utensils
     
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times
     
  • Assist with inventory control and proper storage of ingredients
     
  • Monitor food quality and ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and temperature
     
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
     
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries as needed
     
  • Report any equipment or maintenance issues to the supervisor
     
  • Follow all health, safety, and fire regulations
     

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous line cook or kitchen experience preferred
     
  • Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and food preparation techniques
     
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
     
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
     
  • Team-oriented and dependable
     
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in hot environments
     
  • Flexible to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
